Beating case held for court

New Castle News

An East Side man charged with severely beating a Wampum man on Jan. 21 has been held for court.

Christopher Perretti, 30, of 840 Lathrop St. remains free on a non-monetary bond. District Judge David Rishel presided yesterday over Perretti’s preliminary hearing.

He is charged with aggressive assault, two counts of simple assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly assaulting Samuel Reisker of Old Route 18, Wampum.

New Castle police said they were called to the alley behind Mr. Pizza about 10:30 p.m. Jan. 21. They found a man lying in the alley, unable to speak. Perretti was nearby, with multiple cuts on his hands, they said.
