Local government offices and agencies will close Friday or Saturday in observance of the July 4 holiday. They include:

’Lawrence County Government Center, closed Friday.

’New Castle City Hall, closed Friday. The city’s recycling service will follow the normal schedule.

’State offices, closed Friday.

’New Castle Sanitation Authority office, closed Friday.

’Allied Coordinated Transportation Services office, closed Friday, but the vans will run. Clients must call by Thursday to arrange for a ride on Monday.

’Challenges, the county’s agency on aging, will close its center and offices Friday and Monday.

’The business office of the New Castle News will be open Friday, but close early at 3 p.m.

’All post offices, closed Saturday. Delivery services will be limited to Express Mail.

’New Castle Public Library, closed Saturday after being open during its regular hours Friday.

’New Castle Area Transit Authority offices, closed Saturday. In addition, no buses will run.

’The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation driver license and photo centers, closed Saturday. Online services will be available at www.dmv.state.pa.us.
